Around 18 months ago, I started walking at least a half hour a day. That has been great in a lot of ways, but a nice side effect is that I have time to burn through a lot of podcasts. I listen to shows with varied topics, but in general, the ones I like best feel like listening in on a great conversation.
I am especially inspired by hosts and guests who are comfortable talking through ideas that aren't fully formed yet. For me, it builds a strong (though one-sided) personal connection with the speaker in a way that reading an edited blog post never would.
Here's a list of my current favourites... What are your favourite podcasts?
Apple / Tech / Software Development
- The Talk Show with John Gruber
- Accidental Tech Podcast
- Core Intuition
- Developing Perspective
- Release Notes
P.S. If you're new to podcasts (and you have an iPhone), there is a Podcasts app included with iOS. But it's pretty lousy, so I would recommend supporting independent app developers by using either Castro or Overcast.
